AT&T Mobility Layoffs

I know of several extremely intelligent, hardworking management folks in Mobility that were handed their papers on Friday. Really just ask yourself if what you are doing right now is vital to the business (work related to technology optimization, turning off legacy networks to reduce power consumption, stuff like that). If not, then you're vulnerable. Heck, we're all vulnerable. Best of luck to all.

We had layoffs in the Mobility unit in Northern California and that did surprise me. I really thought that Mobility is where the company wants to go so I was under the impression they would be amongst the last to begin layoffs. I really feel sorry for those that I know who got the notice that they have been surplused. Some are very good people/workers and it seemed they are the kind of employee's that AT&T wants. Good luck to everyone.
