Too many useless SVP, VP, Sr. Directors. Too many managers in general. What we need are technical contributors, not more paper pushers and people who tell other people what to do.

@A127778: Why do you dump on Rowan Chen? He is well known in the semi community for focusing on cost optimization. His job is not to protect your job. His way has served him well.
Is this layoff going to really cleanup the heavy management layer existing across the company? Not certain

Anonymous127654 - Totally agree. It's a waste of $ and a joke that someone is a director and has like what, 20? 30? people under them? The effing company is top-heavy. The trimming of the fat should start at the top.
Most of the people above senior staff/manager title are useless. I say most not all.
If qcom does not do a surgical cuts to eliminate these people, then qcom would be in trouble in few years..

Rowan chen has to leave. When asked about his opiolnion on split, he answered "you will have two company stock". It seems he only cares about his stock. When asked about high performer leaving company, he said "if you are so good, you would like layoff as stock price will go up". It seems he has no respect to his fellow workers.
Need the VPs to fill up the Tesla charging stations. Otherwise their will be rickshaws (Toyota Camrys) parked there.
