Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

The funeral dirge continues......

15 Pallets and cut another 30 hours. Why aren't cycle counts getting done ? Why aren't ZB's getting done ? Why aren't pull lists getting done ? Why aren't plano's getting done ? Why isn't signage getting done ? Why are your vibe numbers so low ? Why is your ESP so low ? Why do you have so many customer complaints about not being able to get or find help ? In other words my PIP when the new GM arrives..... 400 hours to run a Level 3 store ????????? Really... and they want me to pay back the 30 I went over last week... 370 Hours ? I almost had smooth sailing at 600... Gaining slowly but still behind, but at 370 I can't even begin to keep up with customer service never mind tasks.......

This is a typical set up to fail. Every store is dealing with this crap. Never enough time/ employees it's amazing how corporate can't see it. This is not new. Every year same crap. It's NOT going to change.

Let me guess, you are a tenured Manager, you make 70k plus, you are over the age of 45.... get my drift? They want you gone and they will CREATE impossible circumstances to make you fail. HR is in cahoots and serves only one purpose, protecting the company from YOU suing them successfully. Remember there are dozens if not hundreds of stores out there with identical numbers, the should FIRE all these managers if they are going to fire you. If they move to fire you they must be made to show that you were not being singled out for some other reason.... That reason is AGE DISCRIMINATION. Document all your numbers and the companies numbers. Do this offsite so they don't mysteriously disappear. Any conversations that you have had or will have that has any reference to age should be documented. When they really turn the screws send a communication to HR, Senior Management and all your immediate superiors stating what you believe along with what you have documented. Last but not least call a 'wrongful dismissal attorney". Let them know you have done this.... then watch things change heheheh

Speak up people, especially Ops Managers. You have 75% of the actual work in the store to oversee and no resources to do it. If you are not on a PIP because of a bad review, they will find some other reason to put you on one.

Same story here, I Wrote This. GM covering another store that has been without a GM for 2 months (DM do YOUR job and get someone in there). SM calls out sick when ever he is scheduled for a midshift. SM (when he even comes in) will not cover the breaks/lunches for his people, so yet another thing the OS guys have to do, besides ring backup and cover shipcenter. SM failing hard in ESP since he took over the position, it's all the cashier's fault, thus, my fault. End of quarter conversion and sales push comes along and we are forced to have a tech event, although there is only one person in tech scheduled that Saturday. To make it look "good" for the SVP and DM, names are pulled off the OMS from last year and written into the sign up sheet. In the mean time, I'm trying to get BTS bins full and PoGs redone and fix anything else that's wrong, while being called up to back up copy center or tech every five minutes, while the SM sits in the office playing on his tablet.

Same expectations from Depot. Can't run a ship with holes in it! But yet all the Captains seem to think otherwise. Can't wait got some strong leads lined up and then I'm gone! It's amazing how much Depot and Staples have many of the same policies / procedures. It will be a lot smoother for integration when the merger/take over gets approved that's for sure.
