Big companies will have inefficiencies. When Q launches chipsets it is launching in parallel with every top tier OEM, many times multiple models per OEM, and another 200 models for china turnkey OEMs. These big OEMs like fruit company and SS, Xiaomi, LG, Goog, Sony etc etc, they all have their own unique HW layout and mix of components they want you to support. And Q does that. All at the same time, every network in the world, all at the same time. Intel, MTK has not encountered scale of this size. MTK is turnkey supplier in china, meaning no OEM customized HW. Only now they are reaching this critical mass. In my group managers work and lead, everyone works hard. None of this BS on this board. For you non engineers and those who have not worked outside of Q, you don't realize what it takes. So shut up or GTFO

120700: Yes. The shorter version is that QCOM pissed off several of the engineers who had the talent to solve the problems in the 810 and 820 chip by not listening to them. The engineers said "F*ck you" and left. I hear they even wore "Why wait...." t-shirts to exit interviews--but that may be gossip. Saying more would require CCI. HR still clueless. Although they are frantically trying to replace them with H1Bs. Good luck with that!
