Quarter 1 is ending and financials are down. Will it turn around for fall rush.

These new stores and their accompanying problems will impact Follett in a negative and big way the Fall and in the immediate months after rush.
Keeping the Neebo staff is a charade - they will use them to transition and look to replace. These guys know it, so they'll look for jobs. Meanwhile those that do not find new jobs will get more and more anxious as fall approaches as they audition for their jobs. There will be a strain on all supporting resources.
Meanwhile, the internet will serve those schools with no drama, no overhead, and a better brand.
If you believe that Fall Rush will turn things around for Follett... then you also must believe pigs really can fly and the sun rises in the west.
If that's just wishful thinking... you might as well wish for a unicorn as well... since that wish has a better chance of coming true than the Follett having a decent rush... in all seriousness unless they get their act together... they are just throwing good money after bad.
Have you done anything differently to prepare for rush? If not, this rush will likely be worse than last rush. The market is changing. Unless you're keeping up there is no reason to think things will improve. Follett management doesn't seem to get this point. Perhaps if you focus on one or two areas you think you can impact ie supplies, football merch, rentals. Put together a plan to deliver x more (units, dollars, customers, etc). Execute the plan. Do a postmortem on the execution and the results. If you do that, you're doing far better than Chicago!
