So last year I got no raise. This year, I got just enough to pay more taxes. And now you're cutting into my retirement plan???? I'm come here primarily for a paycheck so I can eat! Good God get me out of here!!!

Cutting benefits and a few other stupid moves the past few weeks was the last straw for me. The company is all talk, and management doesn't give a damn about the workers at all. It wants the worker bees to do even more work while cutting benefits, with not even thanks... Oh wait, our thanks are having our jobs outsourced eventually to China. Why put up with this in a decent economy and job market???
This was truly a stake in the heart. Where/when does this end? WHO is not seeing this or caring?
This is just another example of how Mattel is continuing on a path of internal self destruction. Kill morale, don't get rid of the people causing the business failures. Use underlings as scapegoats and further promote the absolutely useless figureheads that propagate the West Coast mentality of superficial failure. I left a little under a year ago to work for a licensor and we laugh at Mattel daily since we've all but ended most licensing agreements with what once was a great company to work for. Truly pathetic.
Amount of matching funds to 401k. So we are supposed to work harder and be more innovative for less. Not a good idea if they want to keep takent.
