Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Transparency

Past two+ years, this saga has been going on. The only words I heard on the floor, cafeteria, cabs, lobby, elevators were "layoff, package & resignations" and uncertainty. How can you then expect employees to give their best, when the atmosphere is so sick? I understand transformation, change has to happen, it's part & parcel, however why cant you make it easy, crystal clear & transparent. Why couldn't leadership make it clear whether lay offs are happening or not for sure and if yes when exactly. Thats all. Its not easy, but if it has to happen, no one can help it. At least there wont be uncertainty, angst, stupid jokes around it, speculations. People will know what next steps to take acc to their priorities.
