Eyes Wide Open is right. I have seen middle managers as the main victims. I have also seen the old timers offered retirement packages and some of the dead weight trimmed.
WOW! You mean to tell me they don't expect managers to take the responsibility? As for me I see a big change in direction. From a Top heavy company that mainly terminated or laid off manufacturing personnel. Turning a page and going up to the upper eshalon. No manufacturing, no need for Salaried Managment or much in between.

They must have hired "The Bob's" from Office Space.
From my understanding, they hired an independent company to do the analysis of whom to lay off. This way, they don't have to feel guilt about letting people go.
