Can someone please explain what the "velvet mafia" is?

Please don't pollute classical history into this subdivided issue. We all will be forced to deal with gender confusion sometime, our coworkers, our leadership, hell, maybe even our own family. Keep in mind, the minority dictates to the majority today. Beethoven, even with his affliction, didn't cut his hands off while creating his "magic".

Agreed, totally uncalled for. I don't give a rats ass whatever your personal life is - live and let live - but kinda hard to lead teams to connect with kids if you are a childless person yourself with only an interest for high end fashion and your wardrobe confirms it. If you want to embrace what the company is all about - fun - you need to be the living, breathing embodiment of it. Look at John Lassiter at Pixar Films - read about him and how he approaches the work process and why almost every movie released is a success. The emphasis is on the content and importance of what the movie is about. It's why people watch those movies over and over. Those movies will stand the test of time. Will Fisher Price be able to say that about our products with a straight face anymore? We do not need leaders who are altogether approachable with no friendly " I'm here to work with you" manner whatsoever. Who wants to play with THAT kid?
Let's keep arguments on this site relevant to the heart of the matter and not cheap shots on sexual orientation etc - it gives management an easy target to disregard this site instead of being a catalyst for TRUE change
The velvet mafia is referring to the amount of individuals in charge who live a same sex lifestyle. Totally uncalled for though ultimately true.
