Mollenkopf gave Bloomberg several predictions, like ARM would replace Intel in PC’s and servers. Is he driving QC down a path of head on collision with Intel? Will there be casualty and more layoffs on QC side?

I think Mollenkopf is living in an alternative universe.
it's all part of the "No Rancho Santa Fe Servant/Maid/Poolboy/Stableboy Left Behind" Program.
QC is not all about shareholder value. When those who were laid off end up homeless, Qualcomm Charitable Foundation will be there to provide shelter and hot meals. That is what charity is all about.
Shareholder Meeting tomorrow! If the dividend is jacked up as historically happens each March, then those who were sacrificed on the altar of cost cutting will one day realize they did not lose their jobs in vain. they served the greater good (for the one percenters).
AMD at one point was worth 10 times of what it is today. It is a casualty of war against Intel. QC might just meet the same fate for thinking that it could take on Intel. It is not too late to back off.
QC is not need deep yet in the collision course. Intel is losing over $3billion a year to get into mobile. How much does QC need to invest to gain foothold in PC’s or servers. $3billion is more than 10% of QC annual revenue. How will that affect QC’s net profit, even with licensing gravy?
We are already on the collision path with them
Great success for glorious Qualcomm is ensured!
