I am a part time instructor and I heard the same thing from 2 students today that admissions is trying to convince them to do the AA telling them if Heald closes they won't have to pay any of their student loans. This is exactly how Heald got into trouble in the first place. I stay because I want to help my students, but Heald disgusts me more and more.

729 look at the name of the web page jackass! The question is if you love Heald so much, then why the hell are YOU her?!?
If all you guys want to do is bitch then why don't you just leave, no one is making you stay here.
Already have, nobody cares. It is why I'm leaving.

The strategy is obvious. Called that we need warm bodies aka students. The A.A.S. grads are not finding work so simply sell the A.A. degree.
At my campus they are doing the exact same thing, maybe it is some sort strategy, but it's awful. I am glad to be almost out of that hell hole.
Ironically the advice might be solid. Hard to say for sure. If you completed the A.A.S. degree then I suspect that you would be liable for those loans but not for the loans in the pursuit of the "add on" AA degree. It makes sense for Heald to push the AA degree as new student enrollment is close to ZERO.
Admissions not telling the truth? Shocking!
Simply tell the CA AG.
Reprehensible!
Worst. People. Ever.
What campus? Did you talk to your DAA and president? Spouting about this here does nothing.
Yep that's Heald always blaming CCM and yet it is Heald employees doing the same shit. Hmm such a mystery why it's being shut down just can't figure it out.
