Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Back to A$$es in Classes.

Back to A$$es in Classes. What did you expect? The target recruiting demographic hasn't changed. You're not going to all of a sudden get better quality students in sufficient numbers that are gullible enough to enroll. Did you think the same leadership thugs would magically transform into decent human beings with actual business acumen? They are incapable of comprehending or delivering a healthy, long term business model. All they can do is issue threats and count how many enrollments admissions scrounged from the bottom of the barrel TODAY. Zenith can't survive with the same leaders, same business model, same customer base and playing the same ruthless, unethical CCI games. In fact, CCI couldn't survive so Zenith will need to be even more aggressive.

Monkey - I've been with the company for a long time. You're using the sewers as an analogy but we've actually recruited the mentally ill from homeless shelters in the past. We've bought up all the eyeglasses for sale at Salvation Army to have them on hand to help the "recruits" read and pass (along with some helpful clues) the Wonderlic. Yeah, we have a pretty darned impressive history!

Bottom of the barrel? Nothing left there. We are now searching the sewers for ripe enrollments.

The marching orders from our new leader ( Mike L) is to double the starts and increase profit at any cause. The pressure cooker is on people. Admissons are in it to double their starts and the teachers are in it to have very little attrition. Both are stubid demands from a guy who failed miserably in his last job for the same reason. For those of us who care about our students, it is very sad to see what is going on and where this company is heading to. It is also sad to know that layoffs are inevitable since PROFIT is the number one priority. The quality of education or the quality of

the life of the employees are not important.

Anonymous70121: DOE tried and were told to back off by the politicians. It's considered anti-business to try to attach any standards to how taxpayer money is spent by big corporations.

Department of Ed should have done the right thing and just shut the entire mess down.

ECMC isn't nice or ethical. Debt collectors are even worse than CCI

CCi became more and more aggressive as the stock tanked. They tried every dirty trick in the book - lying, cheating and stealing from prospective students, the government, and even their own employees. The stock kept tanking, down every year until a $30 a share stock became two friggin' cents a share. I could see our idiot leaders telling their pals at ECMC that they wouldn't have failed if only they hadn't been such nice guys and so darned ethical. I could see the ECMC idiots buying it. There's no more blood to be squeezed out the the turnip, though, the turnip being our student demographic. Employees are beaten up and most of the better ones have left. The only managers left are unemployable elsewhere. This is a sure fail. Sad, but true.

Right, changing ownership hasn't changed reality.
