Some of the comments in the petition are hilarious! Some of the students are saying 'no sale!'. They clearly have no idea what's going on and that a sale would SAVE them... or maybe they're smart enough to know that if Heald closes, they'll be student debt free and they want the school to shut down... nah. CCI students aren't that smart.
Students need to know that they will be able to continue their programs either through being taught out or transferring. This is all about the bigwigs trying to use student fears to save their jobs.
Heald needs to shut down already!
Just picture Kamala Harris as your wifey, hella mad, grabbing your balls for whatever disagreement reason. Do you resist or surrender? That's right! Wifey always win. Losers!
I don't believe Harris is particulalry interetsed in the Heald employees and current staff. Her priorities are A) Preventing on-going deception B) Punishing CCI/Heald for past transgressions C) Her career D) anythging else that show that she is "tough on crime". The relatively small number of employees (less that an average CA high school population) won't make much difference. She will look to the Feds to help current students.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. I wonder whether there's any relationship between this and the fact that the paperwork CSAC requested is due.

Maybe Harris has compassion -- for all the people Heald has duped into thinking their degrees mean anything.
They're hoping Kamala Harris has compassion. Kamila Harris is a alder-climbing power-seeker and if she softens her stance now, it's going to be a stain on her record. People will think that she doesn't have the guts to stick to her guns. Unfortunately, as a woman she already has to constantly prove herself capable in a man's world. If she caves now, it will lose her a lot of respect and credibility and possibly her race to D.C. She cares more about that than she does about Heald.
