Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

a realshitty way to treat people

Team work is non existent because of their 'rank and yank' culture.

Why would another person in your group help you?

Becuase if you end up with better number than them, they get shitcanned.

Even if you meet their illogical 'numbers', the bottom 20% of the workers get laid off.

A crappy place to work at. Especially when manager don't know what's going on.

Really f'd up

Rank and Yank: It's basically a forced ranking system, where let's say if you have 100 employees, they would be all numbered in terms of performance, so if you are ranked number 10, that means that you are better performing than 90% of the team. "Yank" is the system where you go after folks that are in the bottom 5% or 10% or sometimes even 20% and you basically let them go.
