Associates and managers Experiences working at Staples

Associates and managers need to tell what it's really like to work for staples on sites like glass door etc. if people knew how it really is they would not get people fast enough to replace managers they push out and you might save someone from leaving a good job and making a mistake of coming here with the lies of their told

I got out well over a decade ago...long before the merger happened. I recently had to go to a Staples because there was no other local store in town where I could get the item I needed. The store I used to work at is much smaller and there is no one ...no one on the sales floor to help customers. The cashier that waited on me had to guide me to where the items where. I have no intention of shopping there again and if I do I'll go to Amazon.com or W.B. Mason. The only reason I had to go there was because Staples put the competition we had locally out of business....only to eventually raise their prices and control the market. That's what is insidious about huge corporations. They put the good small stores out of business and control the market so there is no choice of where you can go.

I got out 2 years ago. I thought things were bad then. No one should have to work under the conditions you are facing. The good news is that there are opportunities ot there. I hope the people left are able to find something else, or find a way to make Staples work.

FYI - Staples pads their Glass Door rating by having HR make positive posts.
