Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Loyalty means squat at Follett

Loyalty, dedication, hard work and respect means something to most companies but not this one... if you actually do your very best and are loyal, dedicated and hard working chances are your reward will be that you'll be shown out the front door permanently... the only values this company has are connections and if you are young and good looking... yeah you know who you are... you know you wouldn't be in the positions you are if you didn't have the curves and/or bumps in the right places... the "F" in Follett stands for only one thing and it ain't "first"!

Experience at Follett is actually a negative. You are the first to go if you have years of experience. In come the blue light specials.

As I found out the day I was laid off, the management team was well aware of ongoings of this page....and not happy about it. Scared as a matter of fact. If they truly want to get sincere authentic feedback, this page is it. There is no need for an employee survey that everyone knows that is traceable back to you - rather, if Follett wants to be open to frank employee feedback and utilize it for ways to strengthen the company, they would be wise to do so. And look....this is freeeeeeee! No need to hire costly consultants Edelman that charge millions of dollars with windbag summary reports. the comments on all of these pages is so much more genuine than any contracted report could tell you.

Experience counts for absolutely nothing. Just be a kiss a$$ and you'll be promoted.
