Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Seven months

Wow 7 months is a long time to work knowing you're out the door. Any other March 28-ers having trouble keeping their head in the game?

My boss refused to speak to me the last four months, so I studied and obtained certifications that helped me following my departure.

Been there, done that. You have to 100% keep your head in the game so you can get all the goodies. I actually went above and beyond, so I would leave on a good note and ensure my payout.

The only thing that kept my head in the game to complete the bare minimum was not wanting to get fired and essentially lose out on the VSP, RSUs, etc.

Use the extra months of pay to plan, pay off debt, talk to a financial advisor, etc., plus you get the full STI and stock options and QUIT COMPLAINING

Use the next 3 months to your Advantage: update LinkedIn profile, update Resumes, connect with Recruiters and start Applying & setting up interviews to make your Transition out seamless ......... ( Run and don't look back ).
