Technicians always are ranked low in the Permian. Secretaries are a different rank group.
Are not technicians secretaries and admins? We had a lot of technicians back at buffalo spdwy that did secretarial and admin jobs. I was surprised when I found out they were technicians and were a higher CL than I was. I will dress up in a dress and make coffee for the bosses at 180k per year. I will even put on a blonde wig and lipstick for them. I beats sweating outside and dealing with toxic and carcinogenic chemicals. He-l I will even twerk and shake my a-s for them.

Most if not all administrative assistants and technicians (especially union technicians) are never offered a relocation package to move from one city to another. They can apply for openings in the new location, but they will need to pay for their own relocation.
Are they gone? There was one secretary or technician close to the retirement, but I think she has resisted for years.

Welcome to XOM. The first positions to be reduced are usually admins and techs. And in case someone wants to say I'm false, I can show you instances where this has been the way for 20 years at least. Good luck and find a new job ASAP!
