Many of us will be laid off in 2025. This will be great news for most.

“Can we hope they fire the yes men/ gals clowns that we label leaders too?”
That’s exactly where they need to start! The costliest “dead weight” is the four layers of “VP’s”.
OP is so correct with this post. And we aren't going to leave until the company pays us to leave.
Most of us who would like to be laid off would love to grab a termination package, pension and 401k so young and motivated people can have more opportunities. Of course we're "old" and that's why we want to leave, but most of us will stick around until the company inevitably pays us to leave.
right. bcuz many of you all are old. time for some new talent.
Almost everyone I work with would absolutely love to be laid off asap and just move on.
“ Are new retirees (those who make modified rule of 75) eligible to join the Group Medicare Advantage plan upon reaching Medicare age of 65?”
Yes they are.
It’s getting to 65 part for the 50 somethings that is the rub for many now.
Are new retirees (those who make modified rule of 75) eligible to join the Group Medicare Advantage plan upon reaching Medicare age of 65? That plan is a $900 and done Part A and B plan in or out of network.
They call it an out-of-pocket; I view it as a $75/month premium for free Part A and B (aside from the premium).
“It won’t be great news for the delusional people living above their means.”
This kind of scare tactic doesn’t work on a workforce as old as we are.
3/4 of this place is ready to retire with our pensions and 401k’s. We don’t care about not having enough money.
I hope so. This is the year I want to retire so I want them to pay me to leave in return for all the benefits they took away. Otherwise I'll just dead weight another year and they'll pay for that also.
Can we hope they fire the yes men/ gals clowns that we label leaders too?
That is part of the plan.
Most people I work with would absolutely love to be laid off. I find this short, blunt, sweet and to the point post to be of high quality, but everyone is different and that's okay. There are, afterall, a$$ ki$$ers on this site who are dilutional dooshbags willing to eat the corporate $chitt thinking that's what to do. There's all kinds of people. Many of us have learned through experience that that the best and most healthy balance in life doesn't include being a devoted and dedicated T minion.
