Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I would take lower pay over RTO

And I know many who feel the same way.

Stank would rather you quit entirely.

“This is already built into your current salary.”

Not for those who were hired to work remotely.

You’re a loser. Pay me more and I’ll do my job from wherever I please.

“I would love a 15% raise to help with gas and car expense cost as well as being compensated for my commute time of over 2 hours a day.”

This is already built into your current salary.

For now, what some told employees don’t seem to understand is RTO is non negotiable so, don’t comply at your own peril. If you are told by your manager it’s ok to use an alternate then better get in an email or some kind of document and print it out for future reference if needed.

Small biz focuses on results. They have a laser focus on goals, progress and achievements. AT&T won’t have goals until March, a webcast in April to communicate, the projects will lose funding in July, and teams sit on hands until next January. Rinse and repeat. You need to be in the office, if only to trick stakeholders into a false sense of security that work is being done.

Stankey does not know how to manage. All the empirical evidence shows there is no efficiency improvement with forced RTO. As well, the studies show the companies that do best incorporate a flexible policy, not a 5-day RTO. Further, companies like Dell have already proven that WFH is an important and financially beneficial opportunity for the company as employees are willing to forego some compensation if they are WFH. But Stank is evil and ultimately very d-mb.

You have 2 choices: RTO or resign. Stop crying

Not me. I already make low pay and I still have to RTO. I think they should offer cash incentives to those who are doing RTO. I would love a 15% raise to help with gas and car expense cost as well as being compensated for my commute time of over 2 hours a day.

Instead of workers working 3 days a week at most.

26 million isn’t enough for old John and his sycophants so they want most of you to quit.

They need to corral all you dilbert’s in cube’s, conference rooms and hallways so they can make sure you do three times the work you had previous done after all the layoffs. They also want you to train your replacements whether that is an offshore, H1B or contractor.

Agree, but as we all know, the Stank will be happy to pay you a lower wage (like $0) if you do not adhere.
