Throat clearing first:
I’m really sorry for that guy—ALS is just a horrible disease
I’m really glad he is getting accommodations

My actual reason for posting:
As I read the article, my thought was, Hey, WF, I don’t know if the “Well, yeah, we let the terminal guy work from home” is quite the “we are super accommodating” flex you think it is.

This line: “we have started to figure out more about how you can continue to work if, for some reason, your health forces you to pivot” — hey, here’s a concept: people can continue to work and contribute even with good health!

But, nope, for WF, literally dying is when they can “provide flexible and remote work arrangements”

For those who asked:

The article is about an employee who was diagnosed with ALS. In the article, he says he wants to keep working at this time. (They make sure to throw in that he does not want to start his disability leave at this time.)

So the whole article is just this amazing puff piece about how accommodating Wells Fargo is with providing remote options and updated technology, and how flexible they can be, and to make sure to talk to Accommodations Management, and every level of leadership is so supportive
