Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Five Day RTO - Legg

Level 4 in office 1/6/2025.
Level 3 in office 2/3/2025 (Except Atlanta and Alpharetta).
Rest of management teams (level 1 and 2) in his organization 3/3/2025 (Except Atlanta and Alpharetta).

No assigned seating. He says because there are always people sick, or on vacation so forget assigned seating. Translate: much less seating than full employee base coming back to office. Crazy. Only real reason is they expect more layoffs.

They are fixing Alpharetta and Dallas and Plano which impact some of the management people RTO at five days. RTO Five days in office in Alpharetta and Atlanta target June 06/2025

In message he says he expects some people may decide to leave the company.
He says some designations may change depending on needs of business in future.
He says he is going to communicate this message to employee base in next few days.

“I hope people pay attention and if they see employees in hallways or sitting on floors in certain areas, blocking pathways to the doorways, they take pictures and send them to the city fire marshal. If they won't provide safe seating, this needs to go public; and the fire marshal needs to know immediately. They want to play this game, make them pay for it -- in spades.”

A reporter from BI is covering this.

Corey used the same ridiculous statement during his last town hall. This must have been fed to them from a single source.

When I worked for AT&T I worked across many towers and those big announcement emails that come out from your VPs are absolutely copied and pasted from the same source, they are just sent by the VPs to make them look more supportive. They are coached on exactly what to say in town halls to be consistent in their messaging across towers as well.

"Just don't comply. Make them fire everyone."

Actually, everyone should comply and fill up every damn space there is. They may not care but it does make good local news fodder.

Very simple 1-this forced relocation is nothing more than away to reduce head count at the end of year mark 2-this is also age discrimination they figure they can get someone younger to bounce around the country than say someone older 3-this return to the office 5 days a week is a sham as well a billion dollar company the requires you to be in a office building 5 days a week is a Dinosaur
Way of doing business stupid stupid stupid

“Employees who lied have already started their working severance period if they don’t taking actions to move..”

And? That was like, literally the plan.
Are you dense?
2 months of severance or 6+ months of full pay with stock match, bonus, connection awards, and insurance.

It’s easy math, one amount of money bigger than other amount of money - someone like you can even understand that.

“No, just a ton of people who were given report dates of 3/30 will either report, and they'll reassess the game plan, or they'll get caught lying about relocation.”

But I read that to mean deeper layoffs coming before June.

Well on the positive, ATL can coast until June.

But I read that to mean deeper layoffs coming before June. There are people already told to FTW by June.

Wheels in motion.

Clearly, this is what they have all been instructed to answer, as Anthony stated the same exact thing.

Apparently none of the HR and GRE "experts" understand the value of having a spot you can make your own, and be comfortable and productive as you spend 25% of your life there.

Oh, that's right! They have offices. Nevermind!

Weird. Everyone else is 5x starting 1/6, Legg’s org is getting a pass? Good for you all.

Townes Org has been 5 days since July 2023 even if we were remote prior to COVID. Good for those folks that didn't have to be for the last 18 months.

Five Day RTO - Legg

Legg also said that nobody would be forced to relocate. All handled by attrition. He also said that if he said you only had to work in the office 3x a week, employees would make a statue of him.

How's that statue coming Leggy?

“Rest of management teams (level 1 and 2) in his organization 3/3/2025 (Except Atlanta and Alpharetta).”

I’ve been saying this all along from absolute day one. After Wave 3 all the intended old white mens jobs will have been pried from their hands and vacancies in Georgia filled with intended DEI STEM hires. (wait until they give us the diversity update). Then they will relax RTO because DEI lazy fu-s aren’t coming to the office and sure as he-l won’t risk them complaining about sitting on the floor).

Never was going to be enough room in the office. Never was going to be a need for it. Objective was always to keep you simple one-cell brain pu$$ies complaining about 5 day RTO so you’re not talking about the real flim-flam game in play: The great white washing of the employee base. It worked. You id--ts are to stupid and haven’t even focused on the racism and discrimination and ageism in the firing and re-hiring for those stolen roles because your stupid simple minds took the bait and kept complaining about RTO itself. Congratulations, they used you for their cover-up.

His "being fluid" message is to avoid accountability. "This could change" means the d o r k leaders can take any action at any time because of the "change" thereby escaping the need to make good decisions and stand by them.

What a joke. Those aren't leaders. Those are tyrants.
