First a memo got "leaked" indicating an 80% reduction in Ariba services is planned. They spun that around in a few ways and we have been talking about this "cdet" program ever since. Latest rumors are they want to reduce services by 50-80% in Q1-2025 and they have opened up Ariba functionality to partners. Anyone have any additional insight?

Post layoffs….Ariba managers couldnt get rehired if they tried. If u think Im wrong…challenge them to prooooove it. 🍻😂
this question is not about the tech support team. The planned reduction is targeting shared services that are included with Ariba licenses. The memo was leaked over one year ago and it prompted leadership to call meetings to explain the situation and calm everyone down in the shared services groups. I do not have a copy of it myself but I was in one of the calls. If you are part of shared services, you know what I am talking about.
Support and Service are two different group. Why would management cut 80% of Services which brings in revenue profitably? Looks like a d-mb, ignorant question.
Where is this so-called leaked memo?
i used to work at ariba and i have many friends who still do. i send posts i see here to them all the time. we all agree that the ariba issue is because of leadership. it seems most of ariba support doesnt know what their current role is after the last restructuring and are just getting by until they get laid off.
ariba management are a inner circle who cannot handle negative feedback. they ignore employees who bring up concerns. there bad decisions have even resulted in lawsuits but they just blame the engineers and are never accountable.
How can you reduce something that was non-existant to begin with? Ariba and support in the same sentence always had/ has a negative connotation. Without a doubt the most ill supported product in the SAP portfolio.
