I am in an office which of course was supposed to be safe and I get RIFS are somewhat common. But how do you continue down your career path without that thing in the back of your head that the work you do no matter the hours spent giving it your all may not be enough one day. I know leaving is always an option but it shouldn't have to come to that. At least in a perfect world. With all the chaos the ensued I know a handful of people in the office who all want out now due to the constant uncertainty of their future even being very productive well valued employees. Not only are our lives and our families lives being majorly impacted I don't know how they can't see this being detrimental to clients when the knowledge and resources who have been with this company for 5-10 -15 plus years are now gone or will be gone and the products will suffer and level of service and quality will most likely dip. Another sad day at Fiserv and for all those affected.

@2ehd+1vz4yUxE nobody gives a sh-t. Get a new job or "deal with it".
Get your resume together. And leave. Get your sh-t together. Go on glassdoor and give them a 1 star review and bash the c suite. The ONLY thing that hurts a C suite that's buring your friends to the ground is their reputation. They make millions and don't give a sh-t about any if you. So stop being a fool, all of you. If their hr department wakes up one morning to a 1 star glass door rating and an internal employee survey of a low rating. The board will course correct that sh-t fast within a quarter regardless of how earnings go. As when ANY investors find our a company can't hire and employees are pi---d. They sell. And money is the only thing those butches at the top fear. So math is simple. Glass door rating. 1 star with negative words about the c suite + negative employee reviews of the c suite within one quarter when media finds out will likely trigger a drop in confidence. For a business to be valuable it requires many things, but if you cannot hire and your employees are not productive. They notice. Do the math and get your as--s in gear.
@1mhy+1vz4yUxE I've been at a few much worse than Fiserv.
There is no safe corporate job.
Come on. The vast majority of the people let go were not hard workers. They were slackers or whiners who couldn’t comply with showing up to an office 4 days a week (super generous considering only a few years ago everyone came in 5 days a week), when they did show up, couldn’t stay for 8 hours and sapience showed that they weren’t that productive. I just hope Fiserv recognized the people that are left and hands out decent raises this.l year.
to @ira+1vz4yUxE: i have been at a few corporations where people have been let go/layoffs but nothing like Fiserv.
There is no respect, honor or dignity is how this is handled. People / human beings are treated as garbage. They are being used. Yes, they get a paycheck, yet we will hear the rally cry to make Q4, to give more without the part of getting more. It's all geared for gain at the top without consideration for the pos minions doing it all.
Each day us minions wonder, will I get "that" meeting today?
We are adults and can take it. Disrespect is not something anyone should have to tolerate, especially with an employer.
Soon the tables will turn and Shitserv will be but a memory. As will you.
I noticed in your post you didn't mention chest pains. So you have that to look forward to. Maybe you will skip the chest pains and go straight to hair loss. The stress of working at Fiserv is physically detrimental to your body.
It's funny and evident to see the aggressive stop b---tching comments on all of these posts are coming from senior leaders. You can tell by the lack of empathy and manner in which they speak. And if they are the ones do us a favor and keep your comments to yourselves. It must be nice to have job security and make enough where if the shoe was on the other foot wouldn't have to worry about how youre going to put food on your table and roof over your head. Wouldn't be surprised if it was KB.
Welcome to corporate America.
How about the leaders being adults and learn to lead and figure out ways to make money long-term and spread the good fortune. Stop the childish instant gratification behavior and be leaders of people.
How do you continue your career path? You bring your talent to a company that appreciates you. At one time Fiserv was a respectable company. Frank destroyed that. Just like he did First Data. Frank is evil and doesn’t care about Fiserv or it’s employees.
Because we need to put food on the table. If I could tell them to pound sand i would
Why on earth would you stay? I don’t work at fiserv/first data, but they are notorious for treating their employees like garbage. I’ve been recruited multiple times and told their recruiters to pound sand based on their reputation alone. Yet…you seem to try and talk yourself into staying when you say “it shouldn’t come to this” You sound like you have Stockholm syndrome. Just leave while you still have negotiating leverage. You can’t do any worse than this employer.
I understand RIF as well but the way they paraded these poor employees around in front of us was disgusting. They and we do not need that, show some dignity. It was like some execution line.
its called being an adult and doing your job.
people get laid off every day, b.
its the same thing where ever you go, esp with a large company such as this.
