Uverse Television Plan

With the pending sale of AT&Ts remaining position of DTV, to TPG, anyone know what will happen with Uverse TV?

I can guess that TPG would rather not have Uverse TV customers because it involves telephone lines which would involve core AT&T technicians.

Will ATT/TPG force Uverse TV customers to go with DTV prior to deal closing by next summer?

They paid big incentives to retail for converting Uverse to AT&T TV at launch so majority is already done! The remaining old timers might see a forced migration notice just like what they did to Cooper internet customers in certain areas to get them on Fiber.

Is it even being sold anymore by AT&T? Thought I read that if existing customer disconnects it isn’t put back in service at that location.

We hardly get any tickets for Uverse anymore, not a lot of people have it. And if we do, receivers and remotes are hard to come by. Uverse has already been abandoned, make sense to eliminate it by the time sale closes.
