Looking at last year's holiday schedule for corporate employees, veterans day was a paid day off. Is this no longer the case this year? Didn't get anything from my manager and seems like meetings are as planned on Monday. Did CVS remove the day for cost savings?

Nice to see an accurate post - Veterans Day was never a corporate-wide holiday, just for certain states. I've worked for a number of companies in my life and never had that day off.
Not that we ever had the days off in retail!!!! Just got holiday pay for them.
Veteran's Day and Easter were both holidays for us on the retail side until a few years ago when they took them away and added MLK and a floating holiday.
Wish they would bring back the day after Thanksgiving and remove MLK day.

Veterans Day has always and still is a corporate holiday. Victory day (formerly victory of Japan day) was a RI only holiday that is no longer a corporate holiday. MLK was added as a corp holiday when victory day was removed.
That makes sense, i thought maybe they changed it from all corporate employees to RI only, but alas, it was always only RI employees.
Veterans day has never been a corporate day off unless you are in RI and maybe MA in which case you use one of your three floats for that day.
CVS has 7 standard holidays in all states but the two mentioned above: New Years, MLK day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
