Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Why are we even in retail?

Seriously all people use us for is scripts. We really dont need it. If the items were cheap sure but everyone knows you dont run out to cvs or WBA for cr-p..its expensive.

Sell it all off shrink the real estate footprint.

Look at the genius showing up with the great ideas. Why don’t we make you CEO! I mean I know you went to worthless state for your online degree and your manager probably doesn’t even know who you are but these amazing ideas you have and you share them here on an anonymous website where you can hide and hold zero accountability for your comments. We should make you President of retail right now.

Given the retail staff reductions and the contempt that CVS retail employees have for the customers, limiting to Rx would appear to be a fantastic idea.

FS retail has the HIGHEST and most stable profit margins.

Also the pharmacy is where an aging population tends to be the only place some people drive to thus they buy groceries (or supplement) their food supplies.

Rx fuels FS.

Caremark fuels Rx

Aetna fuels Caremark

FS actually makes money.

It’s a snake eating its tail.

I read they are deciding if the retail part will be separate from the insurance part. I assume they mean the pharmacy.
