I am surprised that with all the toxicity being reported the Bank isn’t being sued more for violating labor laws. Is the Bank management just careful or are employees simply not pushing back, or a combination of both? I see a couple of cases, but not as many as I would have expected.

The arbitration agreements say you can't/won't sue WF for literally almost anything - even violations of law. Instead, you must enter into arbitration with an arbitor of WF's choosing and the best part? You have to pay to initiate it.
I am surprised too, especially given how many medical accommodations reviews where they are now denying the accommodation to work remote, even with a doctors note. Doesn’t seem legal at all.
I’m in a terminate-at-will state, so I have no legs to stand on. You are also required to sign away some rights when you accept a severance package. I wanted the payout and know I’ll land somewhere better soon, so I signed. A dragged-on lawsuit would ruin my life.
You can’t sue a company just because it hurt your feelings
WF ….too big to sue or hold accountable. Move on and find happiness.
Tell me more about these arbitration agreements.
Most employees who have been hired (those since 2017 or 2018) have to sign arbitration agreements as part of the hiring/onboarding process. So the "newer" crop won't ever be able to sue.
I can tell you from experience that a lawsuit can su-k the life out of you financially and emotionally. You discover that the lawyers (for both sides) care about one thing… billable hours. They could (or couldn’t give) two sh--s about you. I got riffed October 1st after twelve years with WF. I haven’t given a single thought to suing. Waste of time. I recommend taking whatever time needed to work through the emotions you’re experiencing. Then go find something to do and don’t look back.
Lots of people think they have a case but the truth is very few actually do. For example, if the employer is terrible to everyone there is no discrimination. “We treat everyone this poorly” is a valid defense. Sorry, the golden payout doesn’t really exist.
What violations? The lack of lawsuits should tell you it’s just PERCEIVED violations and issues. I know of someone who has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit. 6 months now and nothing. Just because you’re mad doesn’t make it wrong.
