Better start working your full 8-hours in the office or your going to be flagged on presence report and for 5-days a week. Johns quote, you need to put in a good day of work.

"What happens if you leave your COU next to your laptop and step out for a run?" and call forward it to your personal phone in case your boss calls.
Why all the ongoing complaining? Does it change anything? Let it go already.
I know people that come and work for two hours and leave -
“How can we go down 80k employees and not have monitors and chairs. I’m not buying these excuses. We got chairs somewhere.”
They used to let a lot of people work from home and they were more spread out.

Problem is there's not even enough chairs for all of us to be in the office 5 days a week let alone desks and monitors.
Your location could show 30 minutes away from your laptop. Are we now to be shackled to our desks?
No way to enforce something like that. I have plenty of meetings where I'm away from my desk for even longer. Just call it collaborating which is what they claim they want.
There is no clocking in early or leaving early being a problem for managment. These jobs are based on skill set, and require after hours (on call) availability.
If your an hourly worker, yeah, I agree. However for salaried employees, there are no set work hours.

Regarding this “ they will also geoping your COU to make sure your in the office as well as when they ping you on the lan for a match.”
What happens if you step out for lunch? Your location could show 30 minutes away from your laptop. Are we now to be shackled to our desks?
I think this would be too sophisticated for T to do, they can’t even ping computers properly.
Does anyone have reliable information that they would GEO track COU and compare to your laptop LAN location or is this just a wild rumor?
“I can’t wait to change from my high productivity self to a worthless slab of meat sitting in an office 5 days a week like the rest of you.”
We all know you don’t have high productivity if posting here.
@frv+1vglPkLf , absolutely. Change in the direction by leadership and HR, before you could put in a 6-hour day then go home and login to VPN and it would bridge your time. Not any more, going forward you need to be in the office 8-hours, bridging time wont count come Jan and they will also geoping your COU to make sure your in the office as well as when they ping you on the lan for a match.
" sitting in a dirty cube"
Ahh the luxury of a cube. Those days are gone. We will be sitting at 3x5 formica table that raises up and down. You will be able to swing your arms around and hit 6 of your coworkers.
I can’t wait to change from my high productivity self to a worthless slab of meat sitting in an office 5 days a week like the rest of you. Why should I work hard for someone who doesn’t care about me?
OP - thanks for the reminder!!!
Haven’t seen anyone fired for it yet. Slackers still slack, yo.
put in your 8, but see a doctor if lasts more than 4 hours.
@uun+1vglPkLf Can you expand on this?
Yea. I’ll put my 8 in once I see Meaghan S. doing so
Dead weight will put in 8hrs. Talent will put in 1-2 and exit.
You can always tell if it's a management post by how they address the King!
I’ve worked here over 20 years. I’ve seen people slack off incredibly easy in the office. If big J thinks sitting in a dirty cube is going to make any difference at all for those people - newsflash - it won’t. Dead weight will dead weight no matter where you place them.
Ok, so how about you get back to work? Stop wasting company time on here.
