My manager seems like she spends most of her days just gossiping with old coworkers. When given an actual task to complete, she is outwardly negative and sad, if not outright hostile. Is this typical here at WF?

Maybe this is the way upper management can determine the "efficiency" of middle management. How much do they "gossip" and bully their subordinates. For there to be true efficiency at Wells Fargo "leadership" has to be redefined -- at ALL levels.
TK is just whining because she got replaced .
"Leadership" at WF has been this way for a long time. They feel entitled to collect a fat check and do as little as possible.
You obviously haven't been at WF long or wouldn't have asked this. Most managers are as this is the WF way.
