Simple Shutdown

Hearing lots of rumors about shutting down the Simple Mobile brand. How soon with this happen and what will happen to the Master Agents that support this brand? Will they do a brand sunset as quickly as they did with the other legacy brands?

We’re being forced to pour more money into other brands like Total, Visible, and Straight Talk, while Simple—once the backbone of our business—is drowning. I’ve been in this long enough to see the damage, and it’s clear the dealers and Master Agents are feeling it. Simple’s customers are being shifted to Verizon PP, Mobile X, and Ultra, and it’s only getting worse. Miss. K’s focus is entirely on Total, with no regard for the dealers or us Masters. The fake environment she’s trying to create will only last so long. When the numbers continue to fall short and you’re not in the "inner circle," don’t think you won’t be next. It’s only a matter of time before we all get left behind.

K is literally the worst person to work for. She is doing any and everything she can to snake her way to the top. Including getting rid of anyone who stands in her way. She has zero care about Dealers and you should hear how she talks about Master Agents behind closed doors. The majority of her team is just hoping she leaves because they hate working for her. When you let under qualified people try to run a brand it’s going to get cut. Simple will be shut down it’s just a matter of when. 6 months? 1 year? What happens Jan 1 - the brand is underperforming and Verizon isn’t going to bleed out money. Shareholders won’t allow it.

Game of spiff thrones:

(1) VPP cut out the Master Agents.

(2) TSP proved they can grow VPP while shrinking SM - of course they can since they make 2X selling VPP over SM.

(3) VVG only needs TSPs to programmatically prioritize brands and networks.

(4) When SM is dead, and VPP has paid all the spiffs it can to x-SM customers, retailers will start to look for other MVNO's to port into to pay rent.

(5) The TSP will be 3 steps ahead finding those other MVNOs before Verizon knows what hit them. Verizon will shrink and TSP will continue to grow.

Same cycle for last 18 years.

Yes because most of the brand is on tmobile and needs migration.

Tracfone and Total will live on for now until all the customers leave for Mint. So like another 6 months that will be on the chopping block too.

It’s already started. Positions suddenly consolidating into Value positions instead of brand specific. Only a matter of time before the shut down another brand. Or worse continue to let it bleed out. First big change will be the Verizon only network, then the full swap and migration of the brand. Dealers will start leaving even more frequently. The Total brand isn’t reliable enough to open any stores on. Systems issues galore. Payments not processing. Discounts “falling off”. Anyone that is offering 5 years of pricing is indeed desperate.

Yes they will spin it off asap. If your management this isn't a career it's a decent job with bad leadership and zero direction
