Can you file for unemployment while nike is enforcing your noncompete (and therefore paying you)

Are they paying you monthly? Then no, and technically you are still on the books. If they paid you in a lump sum, then maybe.

You can always file, as long as you’re truthful it’ll work out. If there is a severance or partial salary the state will take that into consideration before making a judgment. Filling for unemployment isn’t guaranteed, it’s you asking for it. You can ask, just be prepared for a no.
