Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Next round of layoffs is rumored to be in December

Rough math here. They need to save 2 billion. If 2900 people were laid off and they each made 100k, that doesn't equal 2 billion.

If you have been moved to another department and there are multiple levels of the same job level reporting to each other or if you are within that 7 year retirement window, Its not a matter of if, but when. Rumor is December.

Layoffs are done in stages and planned in advance.

I suspect this is correct. Putting it up for visibility. Found at @txt+1v9uvGxn.

Not sure that is correct. It depends on where you are. Some people are being let go this week effective 11/15 Some in Mid December effective 1/1...
Others one at a time.

It truly depends on what business areas you support

Why is everyone doing the people and money only approach?

CVS Health has been cutting whole business like Coram and HDMS. Don't forget that those cuts can be a few hundred people, spread out so no WARN notices, but many millions of dollars in investment and operating cost listed as saved.

One absolutely can calculate using assumptions and rough math. Estimating always has its place, including here.

You can't just "calculate" the salary that they make. It is usually 1.4 times the amount or higher depending on their location - cost for a cube, etc.

Multiple reasons.

You don't turn up the heat all the way on the frog or it jumps.

They need to make sure critical operations and processes are there for CMS . Last thing they want is to be fined and then investigated.

Why are they not doing one and done?
Is there a accounting logic to the drip drip drip?

They have to know its su-king motivation away.

20,000 would be your answer.
But your also not accounting for selling off real estate.
