Tech relocation

My LOB is moving to tech.
My previous lob allowed relocation if you are outside of core location, does technology offer this as well or will I just randomly get laid off one day?

I assume you’re in DMI.

Like many things the answer is it depends. I know a few people that took severance bc they had no intention of relocating. As far as I know if you have to move it’s on your own dime.

You should assume that dmi will be in all sorts of flux with moving to tech.

Word is B.E. Will be tightening the sc--ws on expense even more.

“ I'm 100% remote and continue to be granted that exception ”. Those exceptions are merely extensions. All likely will be handled by December 2027. Unfortunately no one is irreplaceable.

It depends, but good chance all those things that were stated before are thrown out the window.

Depends where you are, what you do, and how that's viewed among those who matter.

I'm 100% remote and continue to be granted that exception because while I'm a nobody, what I do is mission critical to big money customers, and our management chain knows that without me, there will be significant impacts to customer deliverables because despite their best efforts, they can't find anyone, on either side of the pond, who wants to take my days and hours.

I know I'm not bullet prooft, but I'm a tough problem for them to solve.
