Sadly Santa did not bring us our own desks for Xmas.

Maybe you should just do something like what was done in the Office movie.

Holy fu-k...it is a desk not real estate. Worry more about hiw much my property taxes have gone up, west hills are not cheap! Or...hear me out, get promoted and you will have a nice cozy office like me.

It's all designed to suggest and reinforce the notion that everyone is expendable. It doesn't matter if it's your particular warm body that comes to work the next day. If you aren't there, another warm body will take your place and the gears will grind on. There will be no evidence that you were even there in the first place. Except perhaps a few crumbs from the lunch you ate in a hurry at your desk while taking back-to-back zooms.

Talked to someone today who was kicked out of their assigned seating area because they other group assigned there didn't want to sit with non-group members. Bullied them right out.

Soooooooo, what is the point of this bs seating arrangement if nobody is following it anyway?

Give the people what they want: A desk. An actual desk of their own. A seat with their team.

It's so ghetto for such a large company with so many buildings.

They are purposely making it as inconvenient, frustrating, and uncomfortable for you as possible, to steer your a-s out the door.

They don't respect or want you or your team/s there as workers anymore. They want to farm your work out to 3rd worlders and AI, so they can rake-in as much $ as possible, while having to cater the very least to "human resources."
