Asking for a friend.

@2vmz+1vRnO5gT - You ask what Wells Fargo is doing that is corrupt right now.

Forcing managers to move employee performance ratings from a "meets" to an "inconsistently meets" so they can meet the bell curve...even when the employee was a "meets" at midyear and there have been no discussions that the employee had performance issues at any time during the year. Management said to do it and Human Resources would have our backs. I'm a manager and yes this actually happened. I went through 3 hours of brow beating meetings where I refused to do this. I had to reach out to Employee Relations to get support for my position. Employee Relations said they had received several complaints for the same business line.

Or, requiring a project lead to change a project status from yellow to green so it looked good for executives and regulators, even though management took a year off the timeline and didn't give any more resources. I refused to approve the green rating.

These are just two examples. I'm sure there are many more. Wells Fargo is exhibiting the same types of behaviors that resulted in the sales practices issues and the asset cap. The company has a short memory.

Uh yeah. Curious what WF is doing that is “corrupt” right now? Not supporting employees, sure…failed execution in a couple of business units in particular, sure. But where is this corruption? The regulators should consider focusing on the real problems instead of the low hanging fruit (WF).

They are all pretty bad; you just need to find the level of sc-m you’re comfortable with.

Exactly. Almost all banks do the same thing. The government just picks and chooses who to extort or pressure. Wells just can't get out from the microscope. Not only that. When other banks are fined, they seem to be fine less than Wells for the exact same allegation.
