I saw this job posted. What happened to RTO? It seems HR never has a problem getting remote approval for themselves, what a coincidence

This position is kept on hold and no more hiring is happening anytime soon.
Please consider outsourcing individual global tech contributor jobs and save Nike’s $$$$$$, before remote jobs
You wouldn’t believe this but there is only a few companies in the Portland area that run workday or since Portland is a small market.
Without making these positions remote, they likely wouldn’t be filled by qualified candidates within the
Portland metro area. Complain all you want but some roles are very tough to fill and have people move to Portland.
It's more than the cost of workday, it was the migration of all employee data into workday. It consolidated the many different HR systems Nike uses into one platform on a GLOBAL scale. Dropping WD would take time effort and resources to that NIKE doesn't have at the moment. Hence why workday isn't gonna go anywhere anytime soon.
Signed, hr person
These existing roles are WFH now so don’t know why additional roles wouldn’t be moving forward.
PRINCIPAL, TIME & LEAVE SYSTEM PROCESS OWNER (WORKDAY/UKG) - REMOTE WORK OPTION - another one in HR
"NIKE just spent billions to transition to workday last year."
And? We spend billions on d-mb sh-t all the time and it goes the way of the dodo quick enough.
Remember blockchain? Remember NFT's? Remember the billions Nike spent in acquiring useless tech?
If you think Nike doesn't divest of billion dollar investments every damn day then you don't know Nike.
NIKE just spent billions to transition to workday last year. It ain't going anywhere anytime soon.
"Workday Reporting" aka "Software we barely use today, won't use in 2 years, and another job that will be axed."
By the way, and completely unrelated, I'm hiring a "Rainbow and Business Thing Analyst". Key focus areas are NFT's, block chain, and other graveyard tech. Full remote, and real enough a position to last, like, 6 months tops.
Most of HR is remote particularly the areas led by the Nordstrom elite while their partners are required to be in the office. It's frustrating.
