Compare yourself to the folks 2 grades above you and do what they do
By that measure I'd just steal work from others and put my name on it. It's the terminal state of the Dilbert Principle at Cisco.
BURNT OUT … hahahahaha you joker .. get a job down a mine and see how burnt out you feel after doing a day down there
There are hardly anyone who is working the extent of getting Burnt out. Some are definitely but the majority are just free loaders. If your bar is low then anything you do will feel like burning out. Compare yourself to the folks 2 grades above you and do what they do
You’re working in a toxic environment. When I left I was beyond burnt out.
Cisco cuts and cuts and cuts. They expect the people staying to pick up the work.
Leadership above is playing GOT with whoever is supposed to be in charge and they will cut a b!tch too keep their job. That’s why they’re asking you to drop everything. Do this! Do that! Do it now! Meanwhile they’re just trying to impress their new leader.
The constant aggressive LRs bring out the worst in people. You will continue to burn out.
Get out while you can.
@fhu is a shining example of loser mentality
to all slaves whining on this thread, this is what you signed up for.
Its[sic] clear you don’t have what it took to make Cisco the great company that wasbuilt from the ground up[stolen from Stanford]!
FTFY.
Wua, software quality has never been worse. Not very good at your job.

I’m very burnt out and everyone else I’ve talked to on my team is as well. It’s nothing but “hurry up”, “why is this taking so long” from leadership and I just don’t give a damn anymore.
Broken hearts are for a--holes ...
You can thank the genius of trying to make an established world known business into a startup instead of an industry leader while laying off workers consistently. Who in their right mind says that? Imagine an Apple EVP saying we are turning Apple back in to a startup, what a shame.
Nope. I work 6 hours or so a day. G12 software engineer. I prioritize work and multi-task and delegate as needed. We are a small team and have mostly g8 and g10 juniors.
What is your reason for burn out ?
