Anyone else having these? Not sure what the purpose is.

Some good people were and are being let go. Here's hoping someone has the courage to be honest. There are people in DDAT who don't belong there. Like they don't know what a relational database is.
It’s part of a new DDAT initiative to improve employee engagement. Any feedback you give to your skip-level will be shared with the new engagement committee. Negative feedback may make you target for the next round of layoffs.
What sector is the skip level meeting coming from?
A VP usually doesn't meet with someone 3 or 4 levels below.
@1ley+1vMqDUP4 what you described on the Aetna side is a 1:1 meeting with your direct boss.
Skip levels is literally skipping over your boss to their boss or bosses to have a like one on one meeting directly with them.
Just be careful those skip levels meetings can be tricky. They may try to delve into investigating questions. I had a skip level meeting, well the entire Medicaid shared services did (separately )with the Sr Executive 2019. She kept asking me what the culture was like now that she took an IT implementation team, Network implementation team blended into the old PDS team. She wanted to know how well it was working out or not. When I kept dancing around her questions she called me out and asked why I was avoiding the question. So, I just told her and said don't shoot the messenger. It was scary as he-l but I said the truth. A couple months later I was leading stabilization project. So, point is it could be a bad or good thing. Just feel out this new leadership at least and see where it goes. Good luck.
All I can tell you is that I’ve is that I’ve been having skip meetings for many years, and it’s just for my boss’s boss to catch up and talk about what I’ve been up to. Sometimes we just B.S. about non work related topics.
Are you in Aetna side? Do you even know what "skip level" means?
I hope so otherwise you're green as grass. If you are getting skip level meeting on the Aetna side, it typically means an Executive level is meeting with you skipping the Lead Director you're reporting to. The Executive wants to get a good sense of the culture and some insights into their lower level reports/ departments. Sometimes the skip levels is for a new executive or VP just to get acquainted with their underlings. He or she may ask you questions like what's working and what's not working and if you can change one thing what would it be.
They may ask what you do and what are you working on. Sometimes these skip levels help them with reorganizing their departments. Or it can really be just as simple as new executive or VP looking like they care and try to be a leader role model. If you haven't gotten your notice I wouldn't worry about it being a pink slip notice.
It could actually be a opportunity to standout from the rest of the sheep. Be prepared for those questions but always cautious as it could be political su----e.
Either your boss got laid off, or you are about to get laid off. Hope it’s your boss. Good luck!
