Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Truist chairman buys $1.66M of Truist shares

See article below. Writing is on the wall that Truist will be acquired by a larger bank next year. Larger banks stock price is much higher than Truist. This is a personal strategy by Bill Rogers that his TFC shares will be cashed out or exchanged for the larger banks stock at a much higher price when Truist is acquired near year. The executives are looking out for themselves.

@1pvd+1vM2Dvk0 - You’ll notice the void in throughput when I’m gone. You’ll have fun training some d-mb@$$ overweight sloth in their 50s on how to get up to speed and contribute.

OP: “Higher stock price” means nothing…. It’s all about market value and the number of shares issued. Two companies worth the same but one issues twice as many shares will have half the stock price, all things being equal. Since PNC gets mentioned here let’s use it as an example. TFC shareholders wouldn’t get $215 (PNC) for something that today is worth $47 (TFC). They’d get maybe a quarter a PNC share ($54, a reasonable premium for round numbers) for every one TFC. Over simplified but an illustration.

This is why we needed layoffs, too many uneducated employees like OP. Looks like we need another round to get rid of OP

click bait. SEC filing shows shares were reacquired via GRAT. If you look at past GRAT activity, you can see that this was as scheduled transaction. MSN doesnt know how to read SEC filings - or doesnt care so that more people click and then come post here about how the sky is falling. OP didnt care to understand what they were reading before aforementioned post about sky falling.
