Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Toxic work culture and inept HR

This company initially had the foundation for success, but it’s now hindered by poorly qualified human resources leadership. These individuals lack the necessary expertise and act as self-appointed enforcers, often distorting facts to suit their narrative. Take a moment to research your “leaders” on LinkedIn.

While basic tasks can be taught to almost anyone, a college education provides rigorous training and testing that goes far beyond simple administrative processes. This level of preparation cannot be replaced by merely learning to handle paperwork.

Will you face a layoff? Your future depends on the health and culture of the company—both of which are being steered by individuals whose degrees are often unrelated to human resources, if they have degrees at all.

Best of luck. In the future, consider joining a company that prioritizes placing qualified individuals in leadership roles.

Poor leadership spreads like a disease. The consistent underperformance across multiple markets has one common denominator: the misguided “culture” shaped by inadequately skilled HR leaders.

Our HR thinks they are proxy legal professionals and overpaid know it alls. They should be sent for retraining or fired. Most need to check their egos, lazy, and no minds think they are actual competent business partners. They enjoy making people suffer and will tell what they think is right while on their power trips in their tiny little narrow views. Do not ever trust anyone in HR.

Why do you think the company is suffering? High performers leaving. HR is a disaster. They can’t protect the company because they are paper pushers.
Hertz is home to the struggling students.

Just to be clear HR is there to protect the company not the employee! They are there to ensure the company is not placed in a position of liability. Everything they do is to protect the company. They can care less about employees.
