Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

You never want to be at the top and at the bottom

Typically Fiserv leadership (and I use that term loosely) cuts the lowest performers based on stacked rankings or performance indicators AND the highest paid. So you may have top performers being cut who have healthy (and often well deserved) salaries - maybe they have been with the company for many years. That's how they select. You never want to be at the top and at the bottom.

This is the best advice you'll get about working at Fiserv. It's not true that low performers are ignored, but it's very true that the highest performers also get laid off just because they became too expensive for the company.

they just seem to move to new reasons to lay people off.
March of 2020 they started the layoff as we moved into COVID, short-staffed as everyone had to go virtual. They still moved forward with the planned layoff for March 2020.
As Covid progressed in 2021, those who did not get Covid Shot - Laid off. Then 2022 & it all began with the plan to start laying off older, more knowledgeable, higher-paid resources when they knew that there were not going to be any new products coming along. Return to Office started in 2022, but got aggressive in 2023 and more layoffs in 2023 and into early 2024. Now the layoffs are very aggressive and very ugly. Congrats Frank - you have created the best disaster for your clients and employees.

As someone in a sales position, at various companies, I've always been very happy being middle of the pack.
