@hll+1vGR4xdx Where our office is based has nothing to do with the new president. Tarrifs will only impact US economy and prices. Product designed and made in China and sold in China will be fine, and if it grows likely offset any challenges with the U.S. market prices
@1cpv+1vGR4xdx Highly doubt this is reasonable, functional, or culturally appropriate given political relationships in the region. China will stay China for China, anything shifting will jeopardize entire brand presence in the country.
No no the Shanghai office isn't closing, heck, it may not even be downsized, it's just that Shanghai (regional office) will report into Seoul (Geo) instead of Shanghai (Geo) reporting directly back to Beaverton (WHQ).
Presence in China will remain virtually unchanged, it's just that the APAC Geo will be newly based in Seoul, KR.
@ hll+1vGR4xdx huh? Assumption is China will be separate in this as no way we would create China product in Korea, not possible with needed relationships and different consumer preferences and behavior.
Possible Shanghai would create of all of Asia as adi does but also doubtful,
U.S. administration has zero to do with where we put our creation center so also confused by that comment
This is true because it's better for business to be based in Seoul now rather than PRC esp. with the next admin. and hostile relations.
