talent acquisition - incompetent

referred an external candidate, they got an email saying that TA would like to schedule some time to discuss their background. 10 minutes later they received an email saying that the previous one was sent in error.

same thing happened to me a few weeks later for a different role

this just scratches the surface of the lack of competence i've experienced from TA. who's responsible for the hiring of TA...

Since they completely decimated the team last year before going on a hiring spree I would say this is a major factor in the problem

Understand you had a poor experience but try to be empathetic, they are doing the best they can given the circumstances they are put in.

the job market for TA is beyond abysmal at the moment as well, so not like they can find a new role after seeing 80% of their teams cut and tripled workload

They haven't been outsourced, just replaced with young and cheap talent that has no experience. So you're going to get a poor product when you let go all the tenured folks.
