Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Imagine Believing....

That the company isn't going to RTO everyone 5 days a week. You think managers in 5 day workgroups are going to want to compete for new hires with part time office workgroups? They will never hear the end of it and in turn C-Suite will never hear the end of if without 100% RTO.

Imagine thinking that the opportunity for employment only exists within ATT and that ATT is not actually competing for employees.

Vivek and Elon were bragging about it reducing headcount, so there you go. That is 100% the point

A little different. They’re doing it because none of the government employees even show up for work. In person or remote.

“ The whole point is headcount reduction. Just read an article in NYT how the new department of efficiency is mandating 5x per day in office policy and estimating it will cut 25% of the workforce as a result. There you go.”

Vivek and Elon were bragging about it reducing headcount, so there you go. That is 100% the point. They just said the quiet part out loud while the execs are gaslighting everyone talking about culture. Please don’t insult us.

Within 2 years there will be a lot less of us here, but this whole thing will be largely forgotten…managers won’t care where you work from as long as your job is done well. We will look back on this and laugh at Stank, the petulant narcissist who dug his heels in to try and be like a couple real big boy CEOs he saw in the news.

Imagine believing…
that this corrupt, political, tower-silo laden, dysfunctional mess of a company, chooses RTO of all things, to begin applying things fairly and uniformly?
Even dummy Jeremy sent out a letter highlighting the extreme latitude ranging from nothing all the way up to 5 days. Disgraceful leadership.
