Thread regarding SAP layoffs

This says all we need to know.

Have a look at this article which summarizes very well what is happening here.

https://www.cio.com/article/3577934/sap-good-figures-but-bad-mood.html

Stock price is soaring while Layoffs ( Sorry meant to say " restructuring") are in play and the layoff numbers are even getting revised upward. Sound familiar? Of course it does, CK and our CFO saw everything they needed when we went thru the layoffs earlier this year and the stock price took off big time.

As the article correctly points out the employee satisfaction reached lows never seen before AND SAP MANAGEMENT EXPECTS EVEN LOWER VALUES FOR COMING YEAR - REALLY?? What type of positive message is this supposed to relay to everyone?

Please pay very careful attention to the last paragraph of the article where our CFO emphasizes that the earlier "restructuring" has already provided efficiency gains and we are now focused on building on this success in the fourth quarter" Don't need to be a genius to sift thru Asam's comments here - yes, Q4 will be a bloodbath around here.

They checked the training box with that last minute joke of a people development week.

I heard that SCT project was prestigious for Muhammad Alam and no customers signed up for it. So many teams are working on it .

SAP Retraining is bullsh-t. They said that we need to retrain, but have not offered any training. This is to show that we are doing great things to train employees. I have not seen any new product that clearly helps to define LLM and support ML models . Except SAP Joule, SAP Cloud products are more of disaster. No sales of SAC , DWC,Data sphere, PaPM, SCT .
SCT itself is disaster. Except SAP S/4 HANA and some process based applications, all other products that SAP delivered for the last 7 years is more of cr-p than nothing. That is the reason , enterprise customers are buying and keeping them shelf. I heard that most of enterprise customers are unwilling to move to S4 CLoud and looking for alternatives.

Yes, indeed, they will be let go in Q4 so that there is no Bonus due to them ( which of course would be paid out sometime in February, which by then they will all be gone).

Can we just be honest about the cutbacks? Let's drop the word "restructure and retraining" and just call it what is really is, which is "outsourcing" from high cost to low cost countries.

There is no intent whatsoever from SAP to keep people in high cost locations and retrain them - and what does this mean anyway? Retrain them into what? This is all about one thing which is to reduce payroll, especially in "non-revenue producing " jobs and move these to a low cost locations.

C'mon SAP Executive Board, let's be real and let's be honest with us !!!

this is management telling us that they are selfish b-tches who care more about stock price than human beings. they will fire helpful people and keep their dei teams and other employees who gossip and horse around all day.

I was specifically told by my manager in Q4 2023 that I should continue to work hard through the holidays as I would not be laid off, then I was laid off Jan 2024.

With Halloween approaching, I need some help. I am trying to think of the appropriate costume for our CFO who informs that he will build in the earlier successes of layoffs and improve these results in Q4.

Wow do we have a lot to look forward to!!

So here is my best suggestion for DA, grab a Klaus Kinski/Aguirre costume and run wild in the streets. we will all be waiting for your arrival end of Q4!..... other suggestions..?

Yes, indeed the statement from DA gives the plans all away as to what is instore for Q4 for us. He is the classic hatchet man and why he was brought here. They will use all of us as much as they can until Dec 31 and once we work our tail off to help make good numbers for year end closings, many will then be cut loose.
