Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

WFH?

Why was WFH mentioned in the Global Huddle? Is it being taken away?

WFH is going away across all business units. Frank does not care who gets hurt or which products will suffer.

Hahaha. Unlimited vacation is a joke. If you are an outlier you get dinged

Oh you worked a ton of weekends and took off some days during the week. They don’t care they just look at the workday reports. What fxning joke

Serious answer it is subjective as to who is not following policy.

If they think you are super important, then you never have to come into the office at all.

If they think you are not important at all, then you could be fired the first time it happens.

To be clear, it is their PERCEPTION of importance that matters. The actual value you have to the organization is not a consideration.

Theoretically speaking how long would
It take them to fire me if I just didn’t come in on Fridays? Is it like a week or like a month?

I am not coming to the office 5 days a week no matter what. There is no way I can commute 300 + miles a week. My commute is 2 and half hours a daily. I am barely hanging on.

Pretty sure that was thrown out there as they’re preparing us for end of flex Friday. Maybe start of Jan. It’s happening, just when is the question

when it comes to rockets, this company has no limits!

no, not share-price rockets, rather the bu****it and gaslighting ones

these kinds of specious analogies are so utterly and patently preposterous (doordasher=fintechie) as to be completely meaningless.

they’re not meant to be meaningful, just bludgeons to exert even more control over the so-called team (“captive” workers) by the so-called coach (fully fledged megalomaniac).

“You’re Doordash driver has to show up at your door”

Yes Frank, but the Doordash drivers aren’t capable of performing their entire job description from behind a laptop.

“Our clients want to see you”

Yes Frank, but not all of us are client facing.

Etc, etc

5 days in office coming. But it was also his way of saying that we saw you said you want some flexibility and we firmly believe being in office is what you actually need. So we don’t care what you think.
