Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

5 days a week in office just announced on Officer/VP call effective immediately this week

They were told to implement also in their orgs ASAP. Legg turned around and told GMs back 5 days a week 11/22. Yep that is Thanksgiving week. All orgs have to do it for all
Levels by January.

The only way to stop this is for all to just not adhere. ! Tell your leaders in emails and town halls and texts that you are declining their invitation to work in their old school antiquated ways of micromanaging.

And most importantly tell them all to not email or call you anymore evenings and weekends. And then when they call do not answer. Set your phones to turn off at 5pm on the dot.

Damn man, lots of benefits to being FOW and not in a hub it seems like.
Yeah, you’ll have to leave eventually, but the rest of you are too, I can just do 1 day a week for the next 7-8 months.
Bummer for ya’ll.

The sister of the Detailer at the car wash I go to went to trade school with a cousin of the girl who services the coffee machine in our office, and who is also an influencer. She doesn't know anything about this claim, so it must be fake.

Tomorrow will start business unit but business unit communications.

I’m FOW, I’ve been doing 1 day a week and coffee badging.
Not changing anything, literally no one is at my office.
They can just fire me, I’m supposed to be moving in June anyways and I’m not, guess this will just speed up the timeline.

So much for all those high priority Ericsson migration projects they’ve got me working on! Guess some Indian will have to take it over.

Keeping your 401k in company stock was a huge mistake, ditch that trash, diversify.
Skilled technical young technical labor is leaving for sure.
Why move cross country and RTO 5 days a week for AT&T when a ton of Amazon employees just left and you can get on there making 2x-3x what you make here and RTO 5 days a week there to a nicer office, in a nicer area, with more amenities and benefits?

No reason to stay here anymore, especially if you have 3-5 years of experience.

Time to start applying out aggressively.

I know why Legg pushed back. Because there probably isn’t enough office space.
Remember everyone, if you have to sit on the floor, record video and also document by sending an email to your supervisor. AT&T and its officers will be held liable for all injuries sustained from sitting on the floor. They know full well what headcount the building can accommodate.
