Thread regarding SAP layoffs

What does it even mean that layoffs will continue for six months?

That we will have an axe swinging around our heads for half a year? With how badly mgmt is communicating transformation and layoffs, we will go nuts before it’s all over.

If you’re happy enough… Every day you are there should count toward severance pay. It su-ks having the cloud hanging over you all the time but I just think this is the reality of the tech industry. Your vacation days equal $. I was laid off in April and my vacation days equaled $. Best of luck to all. I don’t think the grass is greener anywhere right now.

Just some side advice, use up all your vacation time up to the carry over limit by end of year. Don't get caught having time left on the books if you are one of the unfortunate ones who get let go.

It's an ingenious strategy to calibrate the layoffs with the outcome of Q4 - 24 and Q1 - 25. For those who remember, the layoffs last April launched a significant increase in SAP stock price. Make not mistake, this was not lost on CK or DA.

So if Q4 or Q1 don't pan out to forecast expectations which DA just increased, then they will ratchet up the number of layoffs in order to stabilize the Share price. CK and DA saw how favorably the investor community liked the last round of layoffs they now know how to feed them more when needed.

This forum is hilarious.
Basically, someone post "why does it go on for 6 months", without any knowledge or even a reference as to where the '6 months' come from
Anybody who points out this rather basic flaw in reasoning is down-voted or 'accused' of being "Domonik"....

With clowns like this at SAP, I am surprised the company is doing so well

Go on....down-vote this one. Hahahahha

"It is only my guess, so I could very well be wrong."

Well...quite
Where exactly do you see "that layoffs will continue for six months?"

From reading the email, my guess is one round right now, and another round in 2025 Q1.

It is only my guess, so I could very well be wrong.

@1vkv+1v785erW Nice to see you deciding to promote unity and caring on this forum. When someone is posting about their concerns and asking a valid question, you decide on posting that comment? Shame on you and anyone that up- voted your nasty response! Disgusting!

“It means you have to live with uncertainty.....if you can't why don't you get a government job?
If not, stop f-ing whingeing and get on with it”

Hi Domonik! It’s great to see that you are reading all of the great reviews of the executive board and care so deeply about just how much we all support the “Great Reorganization”. Morale is truly great and this is due in no small part to the excellent stewardship and people skills exhibited by Cristian and you.

You’ve done a great job and you can now seek your next adventure with our blessings. It will be tough to be without your financial stewardship, but we’ll manage.
Cristian may get a little lonely without you, but he’ll now now have four board roles to keep him busy and ease his grief.

I hear that Boeing is hiring and they are a great fit for you. You have the required aerospace industry experience, and you’ll get to be involved in their huge job cuts too!
