I hear all the time the Execs going on about “executing to our strategy”. But I never hear what IS the strategy—beyond some bland purpose statements.
Until about 3 months ago. Our EVP put together a very nice, short, targeted deck outlining our strategy and went through it in detail. Wow, that was an interesting change.
Two weeks later the exec, JD, was fired and replaced with G2

This was one of the reasons why I left Cisco (I could only stomach 2 years) . I noticed there was never a plan by upper management and a lot of empty talk filled with buzzwords. It's unfortunate because I feel Cisco has so much potential to become innovative again.

His next plan is to meet some of the webex customers including Zakaria. To hear how much webex is relevant today
He’s working on his social media status the guy has no strategy all talk blaming the past but living off the past and pumps up the latest keywords and acts like he’s in the know. Just another good talker that landed at a good time.

G2 IS WORKING ON HIS PLAN TO LAYOFFS MORE FOLKS IN COMING MONTHS.
There is no plan, just like there’s been no plan to stop erosion in UC and Security that’s happened on his watch. G2 is full of sh-t. All that work happen is a ton of PPT and hot air and big words and no action. He’ll talk about “unifying” security and the network with Hypershield but it will never happen.
I like G2. I think he will have a positive impact in the end.
